Since 2022, Steuler has been commissioned to carry out a wide range of renovation and enhancement measures at the Actinon health spa in Bad Schlema in several construction phases. First, the head of the outdoor pool was renovated using the STEULER-Q7 system, followed in 2023 by the relining of the brine area, including the brine pool, also using the STEULER-Q7 system.
A special feature was the construction of the new therapy pool 3, which was completed in a very short time using BEKAPOOL. The connection to the pool, including the pool surround, was realized using the STEULER- Q7 system.
The largest construction phase was completed in 2024. Here, all the changing rooms, showers, relaxation rooms, and steam baths were completely renovated. The connection to the existing therapy pools 1 and 2, which were also lined with the STEULER Q7 system over 20 years ago and are still in excellent condition, was a particular challenge that was masterfully solved by the Steuler fitters.
Starting in 2026, the third and final construction phase will also include the renovation of the large sauna, including the sauna pool head, pool surrounds, and showers.
All in all, this project once again demonstrates that Steuler Pool Linings is a reliable partner for various renovation and new construction projects in swimming pool construction, especially in the health and spa sector. The high-quality sealing products - whether the epoxy resin filler sealant, the STEULER-Q7 system, or the BEKAPOOL system - are the right and durable choice, especially for difficult substrates and aggressive conditions (brine, thermal water, etc.).
