Tokyo / JP Aquatics Centre - Steuler Pool Linings

Tokyo Aquatics Centre

On the occasion of the Summer Olympics, a swimming hall for up to 12,000 spectators with two competition pools and a pool for water jumping is inaugurated in Tokyo /Japan.

Market launch AlphaLine

In the Rulantica water world (Europapark in Rust), Steuler is lining a whitewater channel. As with other systems, Steuler is drawing on its experience in the industry to modify another tried-and-tested system for swimming pool construction.

Steuler pool lining systems enable the construction of a spectacular hotel pool on the 52nd floor of the ShangriLa Hotel@The Shard in London.

STEULER-KCH

The remaining acid-resistant construction activities of the former Keramchemie are integrated and Steuler's portfolio of services in the corrosion protection sector bundled under the new company name STEULER-KCH GmbH.

Steuler-Industriewerke GmbH marks its 100th anniversary to the jubilation of staff and a host of invited guests, all of whom are there to celebrate the success and the solid growth enjoyed by the company over the years.

Steuler launches the STEULER-Q⁷-System, a swimming pool lining system that has proven its worth the world over.

Cooperation with BRAIN

Together with BRAIN, Steuler opens up the Japanese market and is involved in numerous major projects in the years that follow.

Kurhessentherme Kassel, first pool projekt for Keramchemie in 1981

First pool project

Keramchemie builds its first professional swimming pool - the Kurhessen-Therme in Kassel. Later, parts of the former Keramchemie are integrated into the Steuler group, including swimming pool construction.

Founded in 1948, the Georg-Steuler-Support Association helps employees and their families in need, to this day.

Already in 1922 Steuler constructs the first company housing for employees on company grounds

In 1916 Steuler builts a workers' dining room in Höhr-Grenzhausen; today's canteen

Employee canteen

Steuler's concern for the welfare of its employees is apparent from an early stage. A workers' refectory is built in Höhr-Grenzhausen in the same year; the building is still being used as a canteen today.

Steuler acid tower with acid-resistant cement enables the industrial scale production for the first time

Company foundation Development of an acid-resistant cement

The prototype of an acid-resistant cement enables the industrial scale production in the chemical branch for the first time. Without this invention chemical giants like BASF or Bayer would not exist today.
